The Hills was the first village to be built in Summerlin. This gorgeous subdivision of Summerlin homes encompases 400 acres of single family and multi-family neighborhoods complete with double tree lined streets reminiscent of days gone by. There are several neighborhoods of gorgeous homes.

The community is known for its recreational facilities, specifically the Hills park.   The Hills park plays host to several special events venues due to its open lawn amphitheather and stage.  In addition,  residents can enjoy sand volleyball, half court basketball and tennis on two lighted tennis courts.  The park also features picnic areas, water features and of course, a playground.  The park is run and maintained by the city of Las Vegas.

The Hills also features the Howard Hughes Educational Park, consisting of two public schools, an elementary, William R. Lummis and a middle school, Ernest A. Becker, Sr.  The Hills is also home to a private school,  the Milton I. Schwartz Hebrew Academy.  The school serves students from grade kindergarten up to the 8th.
