Las Vegas Green Real Estate
Green building in the Las Vegas valley has seen a recent surge in the amount of "green" projects available. Virtually non-existant a few years ago, green buildings have started springing up all over the valley, both residential and commercial. Both the Molasky building and the new Lied animal shelter addition are green buildings.
The majority of green projects are condominiums. There are currently four green condominium projects in the Las Vegas valley. Each project has its own unique style and are LEED certified. One of them is even located on the Las Vegas strip! Below are links to each of the projects:
The housing market has yet to catch up to condominium market when it comes to the availability of green homes. There are many Energy Star rated builders in the Las Vegas valley who exclusively build Energy Star rated homes. Some even go further and surpass their Energy Star criteria in their homes, such as Pardee homes Smart Living Program.
The masterplanned community of Summerlin in Northwest Las Vegas will see the first true green large community in Nevada. The project is named Reverance and is being developed by Pulte Homes. The community will meet conservation standards for design and living, plus the community center will be LEED certified. The community will reside on 300 acres on the outer edge of the Summerlin development. Reverance will feature five single family neighborhoods and one townhome community.
